The Town Council bought Longham Allotment Gardens in December 2012. Over the next fifteen months we steadily improved the site and by the official opening in Mar 2014 we had brought all uncultivated land into use sub-divided some larger plots to provide a range of sizes to meet all needs improved the trackways and made new pathways increased site security created a car-park set aside a community area for use by the Ferndown Allotments Association.

The site now has sixty-eight plots, let to Ferndown residents. Even so, there are still more local people who want allotments than we can accommodate at present. Our Environment Committee is looking into making further improvements over the next five years, including improving drainage and providing a water supply. We ask for your patience, as developing the site will take time and we need to work within our budget to make sure that residents get good value for money.

Would you like an allotment?

If you are 18 or over and live in the Ferndown Town Council area, you may apply by filling in and returning an application form (these are also available at the Council offices). Once we receive your completed signed form, we will enter your name on the waiting list.
