Ferndown Town Council is acutely aware of the inconvenience to our residents and visitors because of the ongoing traffic and parking issues. We are working closely with stakeholders to try to improve this situation for the benefit of our community.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY E42/37 FERNDOWN
DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Bridleway E42/37, Ferndown, from grid reference SZ 06112 98418 (Point A on the map below) to grid reference SZ 06574 98265 (Point B on the map below), a distance of approximately 490 metres. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 2 October 2023 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 6 October 2023. The hours of operation will be 08:00 – 16:00.
This Notice is required to allow Upton Specialised Tree Services Ltd to carry out removal of dangerous trees.
