Ferndown Town Council is acutely aware of the inconvenience to our residents and visitors because of the ongoing traffic and parking issues. We are working closely with stakeholders to try to improve this situation for the benefit of our community.
There will be night-time closures (8pm – 6am) between Tuesday 29 August 2023 until the morning of Saturday 09 September 2023. A local diversion will be in place during the closure. Please see diversion map attached.
This closure is necessary for safe re-surfacing of the Wimborne Road East / Queens Road junction.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the works we may not be able to maintain vehicle access during the road closure at all times. Any residents or businesses needing special consideration should contact the dedicated TCF hotline on 01305 221025 before the closures begin, please provide, your name, address, and telephone number. We will then contact you to make arrangements.
With this sort of work, some noise and inconvenience may be caused. However, we will ensure that it is kept to a minimum. If you feel the work is likely to cause any particular problems, which could be helped by special arrangements (e.g. for anyone with a mobility problem or for special deliveries you might be expecting), please email the project team at transformingtravel@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk or call us on 01305 221025. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any problems during the work, so we can help resolve any issues that may come up.
