Proposed temporary northbound closure of Ringwood Road, Ferndown

Dorset Council have notified Ferndown Town Council of an application from Southern Gas Network (SGN) to close Ringwood Road, Ferndown northbound between Glenmoor Road and Church Road as indicated by signage on site.
The closure has been requested to allow SGN to carry out gas main replacement works. These works are programmed to commence from 30th March 2025 until 2nd May 2025. Access northbound will be maintained from Longham Double Mini Roundabout to the junction with Glenmoor Road only.
SGN will publicise the road closure in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network. The following map shows the extent of the closure and the diversion route.
