Dorset Council has submitted an application to close various roads in Ferndown in phased sections.
These closures have been requested to allow Dorset Council to carry out carriageway and footway works to construct accessibility improvements. These works are programmed to commence from 1 July 2024 until 20 December 2024 in phased sections. These are as follows:

Overnight closure of Award Road at its junction with Wimborne Road East.
Additionally, temporary traffic signals will be in place on Wimborne Road East between Brickyard Lane and Bracken Road between 20 September 2024 – 20 December 2024.
Dorset Council will publicise these road closures in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works; they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network.
Please see the attached Stakeholder Information document for a map of the road closures and diversions and for any additional information.
