Pompeys Lane up to Glenmoor Road Improvements Almost Complete

The section from Pompeys Lane up to Glenmoor Road is almost complete and there will be a short break from the 12 April until the 25 April 2022. Construction will then commence on a small section of work around St Just Close and after this will continue from Glenmoor Road up to Church Road. These works should be completed towards the end of June.

Work will include widening the existing footpath on the west side of Ringwood Road to become a shared path for walking and cycling, upgrading bus stop locations and improving junctions to provide facilities for pedestrians and cyclists. To reduce disruption, the scheme will be delivered in sections up to 200m long and to enable the works to be carried out safely, we will manage traffic with a mix of traffic lights and stop/go boards. The road will remain open in both directions.
