Biography

First elected to Ferndown Town Council in May 2011.
Member of former and current Planning, Grants, Finance and General Purposes, Environment, Natural Environment, Barrington Centre Management and King George V Management Committees.
I was born in Tuckton, Bournemouth, I lived and worked in Bournemouth most of my school and working life moving to Longham in 1989. Having retired from a career in restaurants, retail, hotels and self-catering I am now involved in property management.
Married to Susie my Malaysian born Chinese wife since 1977 we have one son. We renovated our former farm in Angel Lane over a period of a few years and current maintenance continues to keep us very busy, whether in the garden or with the Forth Bridge redecorating program!
I have been on the council since 2011 and have served on most committees, chairing the Planning committee for two years. Currently I look to continue the enhancement the natural environment in and around Ferndown, where wildlife has to face the onslaught of human modern living. Also I am very involved in the fitting out of the superb facility of the refurbished King George V Pavilion and hope to be instrumental in making this a successful venue for Ferndown. I also take enjoyment from organising the usually annual Classic and Custom Car Show as part of the Ferndown Fete on the Field on the third Saturday of June which is held on the KGV playing fields.
With the KGV refurbishment taking place in a similar time frame as that of the Barrington Centre Ferndown is about to be able to enjoy superb facilities for years to come.
I, as are all councillors, am always ready to assist our residents whether in my elected ward of Ameysford or town-wide.
