St. Mary’s Church was the wonderful backdrop for the Mayor’s Christmas Carol Service on Tuesday evening. The church was beautifully decorated with candles in red lanterns and lights along the pews and walls. Reverend Sarah Pix and Revered Patches Chabala provided a festive and inspiring service of which the Mayor is extremely grateful and thankful for.

There were various hymns interspersed with readings and a special thank you goes to Ferndown Upper School choir and band who performed the uplifting carols, ‘Joy to The World’ and ‘Midnight’. Ferndown Upper School student Emilie Chadwick performed a beautiful solo of ‘Silent Night’ which wowed the congregation.
The Mayor presented a special award to Grant Parrott who recently stepped down as the Branch Chairman of the Ferndown Royal British Legion. Cllr Julie Robinson thanked Grant for his commitment and dedication to Ferndown’s Royal British Legion and the town’s community.

After the service, all the guests were invited to enjoy some mince pies, mulled wine and a friendly conversation.

The Mayor would like to thank everyone that attended the service and helped make it so special.
