Skilled Grounds Person - Full time, permanent position

£17,711 - £18,795 pa (SCP1 - SCP5)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual, ideally coming from a grounds person / maintenance background to join our small and friendly team at King George’s Field Charity (Ferndown).

Reporting to the Head Grounds Person, you will be working a 37 hour week, (on a 4 week rota system) which will involve some early morning/late evening and weekend working. We are looking for someone who is adaptable and flexible with a positive “can do” attitude.

You will be carrying out general duties, i.e. grass cutting, horticultural works, litter clearance and pitch preparation. To also assist in the undertaking of general tree maintenance. To undertake regular children’s play area inspections (visual inspections).

You will be required to drive vehicles and equipment as required for grounds maintenance operations.  A full UK driving licence is essential and a strimmer certificate is ideal, however this is not essential as training will be provided.
