U3A Ferndown Group on holiday in Italy

Founded in 1997 and is part of a nationwide movement that promotes lifelong learning.

  • Currently have over 550 members from Ferndown and the surrounding areas.
  • It is a voluntary organisation for retired and semi-retired people to meet together and learn new skills.
  • Social events and visits are also arranged.
  • Anyone can join, if they are able to attend groups which run during the day.

Group subjects are varied, such as table tennis, badminton, languages, history and art.

New members are very welcome!
