Ferndown Town Council is proud to announce it has been honoured with a Double Award in the prestigious DAPTC Star Awards 2024/25, recognising its outstanding commitment to councillor training and professional development.
Presented by the Dorset Association of Parish and Town Councils (DAPTC), the Star Awards celebrate councils that have demonstrated exceptional dedication to continuous learning. Ferndown Town Council ensures that its elected members are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective governance.
“This double award is a testament to our councillors’ dedication to personal development and delivering the best for our community,” said Liz Bishopp, Town Clerk. “We’re committed to maintaining high standards in everything we do, and training is a key part of that commitment.”
DAPTC Chief Executive Neil Wedge praised all award winners, stating:
