09/10/203 – Update massage from SGN:
Following leaks in the gas pipe in Christchurch Road, an emergency road closure was put in place to allow our engineers to safely establish the cause of the leak. It was found that the pipe needed urgent replacement to ensure that the community can receive a safe and reliable gas supply moving forward.
The work to replace the pipe will start next week, in the meantime we need to maintain access to the pipe to monitor the leaks. The project to replace the pipe will take approximately five weeks.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
