Cobham Junction Re-Surfacing

Wimborne Road West cycle, walking and bus infrastructure improvements scheme.

There will be night-time closures (8pm – 6am) from Monday 23 January until the morning of Saturday 28 January 2023. During these closures, a diversion will be in place.

These closures are necessary for safe re-surfacing of the Wimborne Road/Cobham Road junction area.

Access to properties/businesses within the closure area will be maintained as far as possible. However, there are times when freshly laid surfacing will need time to cool before it can be driven on. If you require access to the industrial estate during the closure you must approach from the A31.

If you do approach from Wimborne Road, please report to the onsite traffic operative who will advise on the whether it is safe to proceed.

With this sort of work, some noise and inconvenience may be caused. However, we will ensure that it is kept to a minimum.  If you feel the work is likely to cause any particular problems, which could be helped by special arrangements (e.g. for anyone with a mobility problem or for special deliveries you might be expecting), please email the project team at transformingtravel@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk or call us on 01305 221025.
