Ferndown Town Council's Creative Working Party
The Ferndown Town Council has recently established a new Creative Working Party to co-ordinate efforts to improve the quality and appearance of the town and make it a more attractive place to live and work in.
This initiative will not only be of benefit to local residents and businesses, but will also increase pride in our community and encourage more visitors to use the town centre and its facilities.
Our plan involves the creation of a Ferndown Memorial, Garden of Memories and innovative new Sculpture Park containing sculptures and three dimensional works of art that reflect our local community, its people, its history, its environment and its activities.
In addition, we aim to install interesting, imaginative and inspirational works of art in public spaces such as the Penny’s Walk shopping precinct or by the roadside and on the sides of buildings and at various other sites around the town.
Our role is to provide management, leadership and creative artistic inputs to encourage the local community to work together to acheive our goals.
